Corporate GovernanceManagementDerek Krivak, B.Sc. – Chief Executive Officer, DirectorDerek Krivak has a decade of experience in unconventional gas research and exploitation, preceded by experience in the drilling services industry. Prior to joining Stealth Ventures, Mr. Krivak co-established research and development groups for the Unconventional Gas Research Group of the Alberta Research Council as well as the Gas Technology Institute. With these groups, he consulted on desorption gas in place resource reports, coalbed methane and shale gas evaluation projects in Canada and the USA, and the design and build of specialized analytical procedures and lab facilities. He has an extensive list of published material in such areas as unconventional reservoir permeability, testing technologies, core analysis, and general reserves analysis. He received his B.Sc. from the University of Winnipeg, and is an active participant on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas (CSUG). Ms. Lori Bobye-Magnusson, CMA – Controller (and Interim CFO)Ms. Bobye-Magnusson, controller at Stealth Ventures since August 2008, brings 17 years of progressive oil and gas industry experience, in management, operational, marketing and financial accounting roles. Prior to Stealth Ventures, Ms. Bobye-Magnusson’s most recent industry experience was with Peyto Exploration as Controller. She has completed her Certified Management Accounting program (CMA) and belongs to the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta. Gary Addison, P.Geol. – Vice President of ExplorationPrior to joining Stealth Ventures in 2005, Gary Addison was a member of the Gas Technology Institute’s WCSB Shale Gas Study which, among other things, characterized the gas production capability of organic-rich shales. At the Geological Survey of Canada, he concentrated on source rock and basin modeling. Over the course of his career, Mr. Addison has become an expert in shale gas exploration, exploitation and research in western North America. C.M. (Chris) Morrison, P.Eng. – Vice President OperationsPrior to June 2006, Chris Morrison held senior engineering positions with Vault Energy Trust and Enerplus Resources, and began his career in the energy services sector with a private firm. Mr. Morrison holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Alberta, and a Chemistry degree from the University of Manitoba. His engineering experience in oil and gas includes facilities, reservoir and exploitation engineering, including significant field experience. Subra Subramaniam – Managing Director Asian OperationsSubra Subramaniam has over 25 years experience specialized in international business in the oil and gas industry with a market focus on Asia and with specific expertise on India, with a proven track record of having established and managed successfully, various start-up operations including: Aban Offshore, Cairn Energy, Canoro Resources Ltd., Pan Orient Energy Corp. among others. Rudy Cech - DirectorRudy Cech joined the staff of J.C. Sproule and Associates Limited (now Sproule Associates Limited) in Calgary in 1970 and retired from his position as Senior Vice President in June 2006. During his 37 years with Sproule, Mr. Cech conducted reserves estimation and evaluation studies on petroleum and mineral properties. He supervised and managed exploration and development projects, and conducted geological studies in Canada, the U.S. and worldwide. He has presented several papers concerning the development of coalbed methane projects. Mr. Cech is a Member of the Petroleum Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). He is also a Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA). Mark J. Roth, MBA – DirectorChief Financial Officer of Stealth Ventures from June 2005 until July 2009, he was an advisor and Banker to the company from 1999. Prior to this a Business Unit Manager and Senior Account Executive with RBC Bank in Calgary. A graduate of Queen’s MBA program (Canada), as well as undergraduate work at the University of Alberta (Economics), Mr. Roth has worked in finance in Canada with CIBC and started his (post-graduate) career with the Ontario Energy Board in Toronto. Mr. Roth has financed numerous companies in many industries, concentrating now in energy, debt and equity financing, M&A, and asset analysis. He is a member of the board of directors of GE Equipment Leasing Canada and a member of the board of directors of a large independent Vancouver-based investment dealer. Murray Smith – DirectorMurray Smith graduated from the London Business School’s Senior Executive Program and worked in Alberta-based energy companies prior to 1993. Accumulating experience in drilling fluids, service rigs, oilfield contracting and consulting, Mr. Smith supplemented his business acumen by pursuing politics. Mr. Smith’s successes as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Province of Alberta led him from Minister of Economic Development to Minister of Energy and finally the Official Representative of the Province of Alberta to the United States of America. During Mr. Smith’s legislative tenure, his accomplishments include: reducing industrial taxes, enhancing international recognition of Alberta’s 176 billion barrels of established oil reserves, increasing Alberta’s annual oil and gas royalty revenue to over $9 billion while securing $60 billion worth of investment in Alberta Oil sands projects. Murray Smith currently is a member of the Energy Advisory Board of TD Securities Inc. and a board member for the Canadian company Shear Wind. Glenn R. Yeadon, LLB – Corporate Secretary and Legal CounselGlenn Yeadon is a barrister and solicitor in British Columbia, practicing primarily in the field of securities law. He has been practicing law with Tupper Jonsson & Yeadon (and predecessor firms) since 1980. Mr. Yeadon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia. |
